StashDrawer

Privacy Policy

Last updated August 14, 2026

StashDrawer is a place to put the things you don't want your life to lose. That only works if you know what happens to what you stash. This page explains it in plain language. StashDrawer is operated by QForma LLC.

What you give us

Everything below exists because you put it there or because the app needs it to work.

  • Account information — your email address and authentication details, so you can sign in and so your Stashes stay yours.
  • Your Stashes — the notes, titles, text, links, contact details and other content you choose to save.
  • Photos and uploaded files — images and files you capture or upload, stored so you can see them again later.
  • Voice recordings — audio you record for a voice Stash, which is transcribed to text so it can be titled and searched.
  • Optional location — when you choose to attach a place to a Stash, StashDrawer saves a coarse area rather than a precise point. StashDrawer does not track where you go and does not record your location in the background.
  • Basic usage information — ordinary technical records that come with running a web and mobile app, such as error reports and request logs.

AI-assisted processing

StashDrawer uses AI to understand what you stashed so you don’t have to organize it. That processing is used to read text in an image, transcribe a voice recording, suggest a useful title, choose a category, and build the search index that lets you find something later from a vague memory.

To do this, the relevant content is sent to AI and processing providers on our behalf. They process it to return a result to StashDrawer. Stashes you mark as protected are excluded from this processing — see below.

Protected Stashes

When content is protected — either because you protect it or because StashDrawer detects something like a password or account credential and offers to — it is stored separately from ordinary Stash content and is deliberately kept out of the AI, transcription and text-recognition paths. Protected content is not included in shared links, and revealing it requires you to unlock it again. A reveal is temporary and is discarded when you leave the Stash or the app moves to the background.

Sharing

You can share an individual Stash. Doing so creates an unguessable link for that one Stash, which anyone holding the link can open without a StashDrawer account. Protected and sensitive Stashes cannot be shared. You can stop a share at any time from the Stash, which makes the link stop working.

Payments

Payments for StashDrawer Membership are processed by Stripe. Card details are entered with Stripe and are handled by Stripe — StashDrawer does not receive or store your card number. StashDrawer keeps the information it needs to know that your membership is active: a payment-provider customer reference, the plan, its status and its renewal date. Stripe processes your payment information under its own privacy policy.

Service providers

StashDrawer relies on a small set of providers to run: cloud hosting and application infrastructure, a managed database, file storage and authentication, email delivery for account and security messages, AI and speech-transcription providers for the processing described above, a mapping/geocoding provider when you attach a place, and Stripe for payments. They act on our behalf and are given only what their part of the job needs.

We do not sell your Stashes or your personal information, and we do not use your Stash content for advertising.

Cookies and local storage

StashDrawer stores your sign-in session in your browser or app so you stay signed in. It also uses local storage for small preferences and first-use hints, such as remembering that you have already seen a suggestion. StashDrawer does not use advertising cookies.

Security

Your Stashes are private to your account. Access is enforced by the service on every request, not just in the interface, and protected content is held separately with an extra unlock step. No online service can promise perfect security, so we describe what we do rather than making guarantees.

Your choices and controls

  • You choose what to stash. Nothing is captured unless you capture it.
  • You can edit a Stash, favorite it, or archive it so it’s out of the way.
  • You can stop any share link you created.
  • You can protect content, and remove protection, at any time.
  • You can ask us for a copy of your information, or ask us to delete your account and its contents, by writing to support@stashdrawer.com from the email address on the account.

Keeping information

We keep your Stashes for as long as your account exists, because that is the point of the product. Ending a paid membership does not delete anything. When you ask us to delete your account, we remove your account and its contents from the live service; ordinary backups and records we’re required to keep, such as payment records, may persist for a period afterwards.

Children

StashDrawer is not intended for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. Continuing to use StashDrawer after a change means the updated policy applies.
